Privacy Policy

This policy explains what happens to personal information in connection with this website.

1. Who we are

Amore Sushi Limited is the data controller for information collected through this website. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 17130245, incorporated on 1 April 2026, with our registered office at 53 Old Christchurch Road, Bournemouth BH1 1DT. 2. What we collect

• If you email us: your email address, your name if you give it, and whatever you write in the message.
• If you simply visit: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs for security and reliability. These can include your IP address, the page requested, and browser details. We do not use them to identify or profile anyone.
• If you use the “Message us” panel: the name, phone number and message you type. Those details are not stored on this website — pressing send opens WhatsApp with your message pre-filled, and it reaches us only when you send it there.
• We do not create accounts, take payment details, or ask for sensitive information through this website.

3. Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts — which is why you have not been shown a cookie banner.

One part of the home page behaves differently: the map is an embedded OpenStreetMap view. Loading it means your browser requests files from openstreetmap.org, which can see your IP address and browser details. That processing is theirs, under their own privacy policy. The “directions” button simply opens Google Maps in a new tab — nothing is loaded from Google unless you click it.

4. How we use it, and why

We use enquiry details only to reply to you and deal with what you have asked about — including orders placed by message. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us (and your consent, where you have given it). We do not use your details for marketing and we do not send newsletters.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We use a small number of providers who process it on our behalf: our email is provided by Google (Gmail), and this website is hosted by Netlify. Both handle data under their own terms and may store it outside our own equipment.

When you send an enquiry through the WhatsApp button, WhatsApp (Meta) handles that message and your phone number under their own privacy policy. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

6. How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept only as long as needed to deal with them, plus a reasonable period afterwards for our records, and are then deleted. Server logs are retained by our hosting provider on their standard cycle. Enquiries sent to us through WhatsApp remain in our WhatsApp account until we delete them.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected or erased, restrict or object to how we use it, or ask for a copy in a portable form. Email us and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk — though we would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

8. Security

We take reasonable steps to keep information safe: access to our email is protected and we keep what we hold to a minimum. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send sensitive information by email.

9. Children

This website is aimed at adults ordering food. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be published here with an updated date at the top.
